The Society of Family Planning has released an interim clinical recommendation for self-managed abortion. Increased interest and attention directed towards those self-managing their own care aims to demedicalize the abortion process and support those who are making this decision, regardless of their circumstances. This interim recommendation is intended to serve as a guide to aid clinical practice in an anticipated post-Roe landscape, and is based on the evidence available at the time of publication and on expert opinion.
