Dr. Swartz is an Assistant Professor of Nursing, a clinical researcher in family planning, and a practicing Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in adolescent sexual and reproductive health. Her research is designed to be directly translated into clinical practice. She is an emerging scholar in adolescent family planning who is advancing the field through translational research in pediatric nursing. Her current work is aimed at strengthening the nursing provision of evidence-based family planning care that is guided by a reproductive justice framework to improve patient education and clinical management, improve patient health outcomes, and inform health policy.
