The Society of Family Planning (SFP) advances family planning research and education, providing evidence-based insight to improve clinical care in the areas of contraception and abortion. SFP also seeks to cultivate a collaborative and supportive environment to foster scholarly activity and leadership in the areas of reproductive health and family planning. |

North American Forum on Family Planning. With nearly 470 attendees, excellent content, and a strong scientific program, the first North American Forum on Family Planning — cosponsored by SFP and Planned Parenthood Federation of America and held October 22-24 in Washington, DC — was a resounding success. And it’s not too soon to begin planning for the next one! Mark your calendars: The 2012 North American Forum on Family Planning will be held October 27-29 in Denver, Colorado. Online abstract submission for the 2012 Forum is now open, as is online submission of conference session proposals. Both will run through March 16, 2012. Learn more... Our 6th competitive grant funding cycle—now run through the SFP Research Fund—will open in early February. Learn more... and if you are not already an SFP fellow or junior fellow, apply for membership before the end of January to be eligible to apply for research grants. |
